The first visit

  1. Book and tell us what's going onWhen you book online, a short set of questions about your main concern, your history and anything we should screen for goes straight into your chart, so your time in the room is spent on you, not on paperwork.
  2. ConsultationYou and Dr. Perkins talk through what's happening, how it started, what you've tried and what you want to get back to.
  3. ExaminationA hands-on exam: posture, range of motion, orthopedic tests, reflexes, strength and sensation. Nothing is done without your consent.
  4. Imaging, when it's neededX-rays aren't automatic. When your history or exam calls for them, we'll explain why and review the images with you. Many people are surprised by how much they can see for themselves.
  5. Report of findingsStraight answers to three questions: Can you help me? What do you recommend? What will it cost? If your condition needs another provider, we'll tell you and help you get there.
  6. First treatmentMost people get their first treatment the same day: an adjustment, therapies or soft-tissue work, chosen with you, at a pace you're comfortable with.
  7. Your home planYou leave with what to do between visits: ice or heat, positions to avoid, and a few targeted exercises. Small habits are where most of the progress is kept.

The three phases of care

Phase 1

Relief care

Calm the pain and inflammation and get you moving. Visits are closer together because the tissue is changing fastest.

Phase 2

Corrective care

Pain is down; now we address why it happened: joint motion, muscle balance, posture and movement patterns. Visits spread out as you stabilize.

Phase 3

Wellness & maintenance

Keep what you've gained and catch small problems early. Visit frequency is your call, based on your body and your goals.

Every plan has checkpoints. If a phase isn't producing the change we expected, we re-examine and change course instead of just adding visits.

How visits and pricing work

Each therapy (decompression, shockwave, PEMF, electrical stimulation, red light and others) is a 20-minute block, and you choose how many to include in a visit. A one-therapy visit is about 20 minutes; five therapies take about an hour and forty minutes. Massage and assisted stretching are full one-hour sessions.

You can pay per visit, join a monthly membership, or build a Healing Reserve of prepaid therapies, priced lower the more you invest. We don't bill insurance. HSA and FSA cards are welcome, and personal-injury cases are billed through the claim.
